The Kabaddi World Cup 2025
17th to 23rd March 2025
The Kabaddi World Cup (KWC) – West Midlands 2025 will be held in March 2025, welcoming the world’s best kabaddi players from men’s and women’s teams from across the five member continents of World Kabaddi, including Africa, Asia, Oceania, Pan America and Europe. Teams from India, China, Iran and Pakistan as well as home nation teams from England and Scotland will compete for the World Cup, the first time the competition has been hosted outside of Asia.
Hosted by World Kabaddi and delivered by the British Kabaddi League (BKL) on behalf the England Kabaddi Association, the event is funded through the WMCA Commonwealth Games Major Events Legacy Fund with City of Wolverhampton Council being the lead organisation hosting the event supported by Birmingham, Coventry and Walsall Councils.
The competition will span seven days with over 60 matches, taking place in Birmingham, Coventry, Walsall, and Wolverhampton. This central location offers excellent connectivity, reaching over 250 million spectators across Europe and providing easy access for over half of the UK’s population within a two-hour travel time.
The Kabaddi World Cup 2025 aims to attract a broad audience, focusing on both domestic and international spectators through streaming, tourism, and business partnerships.
