Paddy Power

Paddy Power was born in 1988 from the merger of three Irish bookmakers, and from day one, the company decided to do things differently. We don’t just want you to bet with us – we want you to have a whale of a time while you do it. We’ve been serving up mischief and entertaining our customers since the very beginning – whether it’s poking fun at Arsenal bottling the league again or pretending to chop down the Amazon rainforest for the World Cup.

Fast forward to today, and the company is bigger than ever. Although we’ve grown into the betting behemoth we are today, we haven’t forgotten our roots – offering value for our customers while serving up a side of mischief.

We’re thrilled to be the Title Sponsor of the Kabaddi World Cup 2025 and to bring this incredible game to a brand-new audience. Kabaddi is chaotic, combative, and absolutely bonkers – everything Paddy Power loves about sport. Expect banter, big hits, and breathtaking entertainment – this is sport, Paddy Power style.

Sporting Equals

Sporting Equals was established as a project in 1998 in partnership with the Commission for Racial Equality and Sport England to support National Governing Bodies with their race equality work.

Sporting Equals shifted its focus and in 2005 became a standalone, autonomous organisation – an independent voice to serve ethnically diverse communities, promote community cohesion and, importantly, to take action to eradicate racism in sport. Lorraine Deschamps MBE, Angela Francis and Beverley Mason FRSA are the co-founders. Sporting Equals achieved charitable status in 2007.

The charity has three primary aims;

  • Raise awareness & understanding of the needs of Ethnically Diverse Communities within the sports & physical activity sector.
  • Empower individuals & communities to deliver change both locally and nationally.
  • Advise & support policy-makers and delivery bodies to be inclusive of all Ethnically Diverse Communities
